We're looking for a caring and consistent Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Erdington, supporting a pupil 1:1 with attachment needs. This is a unique role with a clear pathway into pastoral support as the placement progresses. The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, a calm and nurturing approach, and a genuine interest in helping pupils feel safe and secure at school.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with attachment-related needs
- Build trust through consistent routines and positive reinforcement
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support learning and emotional development
- Model and encourage emotional regulation strategies
- Support wider pastoral duties as part of your development into a pastoral support role
Candidate Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting children with social, emotional, or mental health needs

- Strong communication and team-working skills
