The Company

This food brand is on a mission to transform consumers’ lives with delicious and nutritious food without any compromise on taste or convenience. As a challenger brand, they have already made waves in the industry with their innovation along with their stance on quality and sustainability.

They are entering an exciting growth phase and have created a new role for a Head of Product that can join their Senior Leadership team to develop and drive their product strategy. The role is based at their London HQ (2 to 3 days) with travel to suppliers and UK manufacturing partners.

The Role

Reporting to the CEO / Founder, you will lead the Product Vision and Strategy to ensure that products are not only successful but fully align with the brand’s commitment to taste, health, and sustainability.

You will manage the Product Team (NPD and technical) with responsibility for all stages of the innovation decision-making process, creating current and future food strategies that are in line with the brand’s food ethos, consumer trends, and commercial aspirations.

This will involve working closely with Brand & Sales teams to review data and insights to underpin the strategic vision and sustainability initiatives.

This cross-functional leadership role will place you in a position of financial accountability for the innovations budget, making sure all projects are properly resourced and tracked.

Developing and fostering exceptional relationships with manufacturing partners in the UK is also pivotal to the success of delivering the NPD & EPD strategy.

As a real foodie, you will be innovative in your approach to NPD while also being process-driven and commercially aware, in order to drive long and short-term projects with the correct brand and consumer agenda. You enjoy working at pace and thrive in a cross-functional capacity where you are highly adept at influencing to achieve results.

You will have proven team management skills coupled with excellent communication and the necessary know-how to motivate and inspire your team to unrivaled success in a very competitive marketplace. Highly focused and driven, you have a boundless passion for food and a real drive to deliver.

Naturally, you’ll be at ease demonstrating how your experience and personal attributes have netted significant results throughout your career and now make you a shining prospect.
