OVERVIEW: ELECTRICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

Are you ready to down tools and fancy a change in direction? Moving into a training role is a great way to pass on your knowledge and skills within your industry! We are currently seeking an Electrical maintenance professional with a genuine desire for people development. No training experience needed; all training will be provided by the employer.

You will be trained to teach, coach and mentor young learners undertaking qualifications in Electrical Maintenance. You will be a time served electrical professional with a L3 or above qualification. The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to move into a training role, enjoy working in a learning environment and have a strong background in the Electrical industry.

SALARY/BENEFITS: ELECTRICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

  • £35800k starting salary (Mon - Fri, 8.30am-4.30pm, early finish on a Friday)

THE ROLE OF THE ELECTRICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR:

To deliver and coordinate the successful completion of all aspects of Electrical Engineering qualifications delivered at a high-tech training facility (classroom-based delivery). Train learners towards agreed qualifications in line with relevant awarding body standards. We are looking for applicants that are self-motivated, a team player and have a 'hands on approach' to work within this rewarding environment.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: ELECTRICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

  • Minimum 5 years' relevant occupational experience as a time served electrical engineer
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of working with young people

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES: ELECTRICAL TRAINING INSTRUCTOR

  • A level 3 (or above) electrical qualification
  • Assessor Qualification- A1, TAQA, CAVA or equivalent (desirable)
  • Teaching qualification (desirable)

This position is subject to an enhanced DBS clearance.
