Business Analyst

We are working with a global financial institution to recruit a business analyst to work as part of the outreach team. The candidate must be an individual experienced in business analysis and with sufficient subject experience operating as a BA in an enterprise organization (preferably financial or professional services).

Key responsibilities:

• Being capable of understanding regulatory rulesets in detail and their applicability to in-scope entities and clients.
• Respond to internal and external queries including completion of necessary analysis, escalation and research required to create an accurate response.
• Analyze and dissect large data sets according to applicable rule requirements.
• Design and create intelligent metrics and reports for multiple audiences.
• Work with cross-functional areas and often senior stakeholders to ensure queries are responded to successfully.
• Be able to follow predefined quality control processes and escalation routes.
• Support outreach activities including QA checks, monitoring, reporting, and tracking.
• Be able to quickly grasp complex problems, complete accurate analysis and work with the team to develop solutions e.g. new processes.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.

To be considered for this role you must possess the following skills/experience:

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience as a BA.
• Good knowledge of the financial landscape.
• Detail-oriented, with strong Excel skills in particular, PIVOT Tables, vLookups (& ideally Macros).
• Worked with large data sets within Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Client-facing experience preferred and in particular projects that involve client outreach to dozens or hundreds of clients.
• Attention to detail and intuition when dealing with Clients and Senior Stakeholders.

This role would be required to be in the office at least 3 days per week in Belfast.
