Offering a wide range of solutions to support the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas resources, our client based in Aberdeen is currently recruiting a Buyer. The role is on a long-term contract and offers hybrid working. RESPONSIBILITIES Support internal stakeholders during the preparation of technical/commercial packages for Company Tenders. Support external Vendors throughout commercial Tender exercises, ensuring proposals are submitted in accordance with related bid info. Manage and prepare commercial/economic bid tabulations to allow comparison of different proposals and identify actions to be taken in order to secure best bid result and/or select the Vendor. Support commercial/economic negotiations, liaising with internal stakeholders and Project Management where applicable. Close out Tender exercises, expediting receipt of acknowledgements from selected vendor(s), and arranging handover meetings to internal Agreement owners/User Depts. Perform all assigned activities in strict compliance with Company procedures and provided systems and tools. Check and confirm correctness of any technical documentation received with Purchase Requisitions and Technical Evaluations. Manage contractual documentation (Archive) before the issue to centralized archive. REQUIREMENTS Working knowledge of SAP systems and broad understanding of Contractual terms. Knowledge of Microsoft packages, cloud based storage and operating systems. Proven experience with E-Procurement Systems is desirable. Experience of fast-track purchasing within a Subsea and Project based environment. Experience in negotiating. Keenly developed interpersonal skills
