Thanks to funding from the DCMS Uniformed Youth Fund, Girlguiding is launching the Reach project to increase our impact in underrepresented communities and lower income areas. We want to create 1,400 spaces for girls to join, and test new ways for girls to engage with our offer. Between now and March 2026 we will run at least six pilots to co-create offers with girls less likely to participate in our core offerings. This is part of a new innovation adventure at Girlguiding. We’re using creative approaches to design, test and scale new delivery models to reach a new and diverse audience of girls.

We are seeking a dedicated project coordinator to join us to support the creation and testing of these innovative pilot projects. This role involves coordinating collaboration activities, engaging with internal and external contributors, and shaping pilot projects to maximise impact on girls.

Key duties and responsibilities:
  • Coordinate small projects, manage budgets, and report on progress.
  • Build positive relationships with stakeholders and facilitate collaboration.
  • Conduct market research and raise awareness of new offerings.
  • Gather knowledge and insight to inform project development and scale-up.

For this role, we will consider flexibility in work location, including fully remote working, so we encourage applications from all candidates.

About Girlguiding: This is a really exciting time to join Girlguiding. We have much to be proud of in our one hundred years of history, but we know that to remain vibrant and relevant to young people we must continually evolve. We’ve begun a process of significant change: transforming the organisation so it can meet the challenges of the future by putting young people at the heart of our organisation. We’re on a mission to amplify the voices of girls and young women, so they can champion change in their own lives and the wider world; to build strong partnerships that can increase our reach and impact; and to increase the support we offer our amazing adult volunteers who deliver incredible experiences to young people across the UK every week.

Girlguiding values the differences that a diverse workforce brings and is committed to inclusivity, and to employing and supporting a diverse workforce. Girlguiding is proud to be part of the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme, a member of the Business Disability Forum, and a member of Time to Change. While Girlguiding’s young members may be women only, our staff team is mixed gender. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

Girlguiding operates a hybrid working arrangement where office based staff are required to attend the office on average two days a week, or 40% of working time across the year. Location allowance is payable to those who work in accordance with our hybrid working model. We’re committed though to supporting our staff to achieve a good work-life balance and offer flexible working options wherever we reasonably can. All staff are required to carry out our online health and safety training and complete a DSE risk assessment to ensure we can provide the support you require.

We strive to ensure our recruitment processes are accessible to everyone. If you would like to receive any information in a different way or would like support in helping you to apply, please get in touch with HR@girlguiding.org.uk or by calling 0207 592 1892.
