About the role My client is a leading specialist engineering business based in Gateshead with a proud history. Reporting to the Site Director, my clients seeks a QHSE Manager to join the team to lead on all quality, health, safety and environmental strategy and management. Main responsibilities * Lead and advise on Group QHSE policy * Maintain company ISO accreditations i.e. ISO 45001, 9001 and 4001 * Review and amend the quality assurance manual as and when necessary * Conduct quality and spot audits as necessary to ensure compliance * Production of annual group management reports. * Attend audits with 3rd party assessors * Promote quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organisation * Supplier quality management , improvement and development. Working with customers\’ auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers\’ specifications * Application of environmental and health/safety standards * Establishing clearly defined quality standards and methodology * Documentation control and management * Identifying relevant quality-related training needs * Establishing standards of service for customers or clients * Monitoring performance through audits and gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports About you To be considered for the role it is essential that you possess demonstrable experience gained as a Quality & Health, Safety and Enviornment Manager ideally gained working within an engineering or fabrication business. Key selection criteria * HND equivalent or higher in a relevant discipline * NEBOSH certification * IOSH certification * ISO45001, ISO9001 and ISO4001 Auditor Training. * Site operation know how * Proven experience in a similar role within a medium/heavy engineering environment would be advantageous * Knowledge and experience of quality standards in particular ISO 9001: 2015 * Fully experienced with IT Software packages – Word, Excel, Project, Outlook * Strong report writing skills with the ability to communicate findings clearly and effectively. * Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing HSE practices. * Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, particularly in conducting root cause analysis. * Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Full valid driving licence
