This is a key leadership role with responsibility for managing the commercial and financial aspects of operations across Lincolnshire. The position involves a mix of office-based work and occasional site visits. There is lots of progression within the role, with the opportunity to grow into a commercial director role.
You will be responsible for leading and managing the commercial team, overseeing all financial and contractual aspects of projects. Additionally, you will be involved in all aspects of contract negotiation, risk management, procurement, team leadership, and ensuring accurate commercial documentation. The role also involves reporting on project performance, managing change processes, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and subcontractors.
We’re looking for someone with:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role (civil engineering, construction, or groundworks)
- Excellent commercial experience as a quantity surveyor
- Strong contract management and negotiation skills
- The ability to lead and mentor a commercial team
- Any experience of Esti-mate software would be a strong advantage
