Are you interested in looking after patients undergoing day surgery?
In this role you will work as a competent member of the day surgery team across two sites and Pre-Operative Assessment performing a wide range of duties. The efficient use of the Trust’s resources is dependent on the effectiveness of all the staff in the department.
The post holder will support the trained members of the staff in making the surgery unit and pre-operative assessment safe and pleasant for patients and their carer., Your role will be to assist the trained nurses in the care of the pre and post operative patients. This will include admitting patients and helping them mobilise after their surgery.
Your role will also include working in the Pre-Assessment Clinic where you will be responsible for assisting trained nurses in the assessment and preparation of patients for their upcoming surgery.
