Excell Supply we are recruiting for a specialist school in Welshpool dedicated to supporting young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Mathematics Teacher who can also deliver a small amount of Science teaching. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in working with students with SEMH needs. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons in Maths across KS3 and KS4. Teach a small proportion of Science lessons as part of a balanced curriculum. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH challenges. Build positive relationships with students, encouraging participation and progress. Collaborate with colleagues to develop individual education plans (IEPs) and provide targeted support. Contribute to the wider school community, including pastoral care and extracurricular activities. About You We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to helping every student reach their full potential. Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Strong subject knowledge in Maths and the ability to teach Science to a basic level. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. A genuine interest in supporting students with SEMH needs. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check. Desirable: Previous experience working in an SEMH or special education setting. Additional training in behavior management or trauma-informed practice.
