We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our business Kier construction enjoy a strong relationship with the MOD, delivering projects across the UK. As part of a new MOD work stream in Coulport that will provide secure, long term pipeline of varied projects we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join the business based in our Stepps office, with some opportunity for home working and one day per week spent collaborating on the naval base. Location: Stepps – opportunity for some home working – 1 day per week on site Hours: 40 Hours Responsibilities As quantity surveyor your day to day may include: Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement and assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages. Negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value. Managing applications for payment from sub contractors and making preparation of applications for payment to clients. Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports) Preparation of final accounts What are we looking for?
