A large Civil Engineering Contractor working within the Water Sector, are actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a permanent position in Glasgow. This is to work on a multi-million pound, Water and Wastewater Infrastructure framework agreement. Our client: * The client is a leading UK Tier 1 Contractor delivering a range of essential infrastructure services within the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors in the UK & Ireland. * They have built and maintained relationships with our clients over a number of years and have a strong culture that continuously focuses on safety, operational delivery, efficiency and customer service. * They are a UK leading Clean & Waste Water infrastructure provider, with ambitious growth plans over the next 5 years. * Have a workforce of more than 2,500 operating daily in local communities What you’ll be doing: * You will be part of the Commercial Team and will be responsible for administering the commercial and financial aspects of a multi-million £ Framework. * Will involve working closely with the delivery team delivering both clean and waste infrastructure projects. * Preparing Cost and Value Reporting * Preparing commercial performance reports * Manage procurement including labour, plant, materials and subcontract * Demand forecasting * VOWD forecasting What you’ll need to be successful: * A degree/HND or equivalent in Commercial Management/Quantity Surveying or other construction related subject or substantial previous experience in a similar position * Minimum 3 years of experience * A commercially and contractually astute individual that takes ownership of performance * A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity * Intermediate to advanced Excel skills What’s in it for you: * Salary between £40k and £55k depending on experience * 25 days annual leave plus 8 days bank holiday * Annual bonus * Excellent job security * Pension scheme * Life Assurance * Hybrid working options What you need to do next: Please hit the APPLY NOW button to send your CV to James Brodie at James Gray Recruitment.
