I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planning Supervisor to join a leading Fuel distributor who specialise within UK wide commercial petrochemical distribution.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in transport planning leadership position
  • ADR / Tanker route planning experience is highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent geographical knowledge and attention to detail
  • Leadership capabilities with a talent for coaching and motivating teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  • Excellent people management and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review daily driver plans to maximise legal shift availability and resource use
  • Investigate and report on customer service issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions
  • Act as the primary point of contact for bitumen, emulsion, and fuel oil clients, ensuring prompt resolution of delivery concerns
  • Monitor team performance, conduct annual reviews, and support ongoing development and coverage for holidays and absences
