Role & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the service of food & beverages within the Bar
- Maintain overall responsibility for beverage service throughout the Hotel
- Ensure all guests receive a warm welcome and are treated to the utmost hospitality and care during their stay
- Minimise and handle complaints professionally in accordance with our policies
- Supervise & manage the Bar/Beverage team in line with company policies and manuals
- Work with the Restaurant Manager, Operations Manager & General Manager to maximise sales performance and achieve sales in line with targets
- Follow all hotel policies as outlined in your training manual
- Ensure service of food and drinks is done quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards
- Ensure your team are trained and effective in their roles
- Ensure menu training is carried out as per release of new menus
- Carry out relevant admin within department to meet business needs
- Employ relevant staff for the department and follow correct recruitment and induction procedures
- Ensure the bars run smoothly on a daily basis & are adequately stocked with all necessary goods
- Enforce Licensing Laws, Rules of Management & in-house security policies
- Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
- Make guests aware of offers on our great food and drink range
- Assist in any function or events set ups in accordance with procedures
- Maintain exemplary billing systems and obtain all payments from guests in accordance with company policy
- Observe and comply with cleaning rotas, health and safety, food and hygiene regulations
- Ensure service meets the standards to maintain and achieve relevant awards for Gallery Restaurant
- Ensure good working relationship with all other departments and communicate information throughout the hotel
- Understand responsibilities in relation to Fire Procedures, Health and Safety, COSHH, Infection Control and Emergency Aid
- All other duties as required
