As a Specialist Buyer, you'll be responsible for managing a specific category of goods or services, ensuring procurement and purchasing is both competitive and cost-effective. You will identify and deliver cost savings while supporting the wider goals of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a comprehensive category or purchasing plan, complete with a clear pipeline of savings and opportunities
- Set and manage category priorities in line with organisational goals
- Lead and manage timelines for sourcing initiatives
- Conduct tactical contract negotiations
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to fully understand their requirements
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in supplier relationships
- Ideally, a graduate degree
- MCIPS qualification (or currently studying towards it) is desirable
- At least 2 - 3 years sourcing and category management experience
