Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Trafford Council, Childrens Permanence Team – Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children\’s Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of children under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
- Working with Children in Care; you will be a confident and ambitious worker, contributing to our journey on restorative relational practice.
- Adopting an innovative approach to supporting children\’s social care and ensuring continuity of care to our vulnerable service users.
- Having a sound knowledge of legislation relevant to this post and demonstrable insight into the issues facing children, young people, and families.
- With strong communication and assessment skills, developing effective working relationships with families and colleagues from various agencies.
- Writing clear and concise reports, maintaining case records, and fulfilling administrative requirements.
- Prioritising, meeting deadlines, and problem-solving on a daily basis.
- Liaising with other professionals.
- 37 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
- 3 month Temporary Contract.
- Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
