A welcoming school in Bridlington are seeking a friendly, professional, and proactive School Receptionist to join their busy front office team on a long-term temporary basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a rewarding environment where you’ll play a key role in supporting students, staff, and visitors alike.
Some of the Receptionist duties are:
- Acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, and visitors
- Handling enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face, ensuring a helpful and professional service
- Representing the school’s values and ethos at all times
- Operating the switchboard and managing the school office inbox
- Using school systems to input and maintain accurate records
- Proofreading documents and completing mail merges in line with data protection policies
- Managing sign-in and sign-out procedures for all staff, students, and visitors
- Liaising with site staff, visitors, and the catering team, including arranging hospitality
You’ll need to be confident, approachable, and well-organised with a calm and friendly telephone manner. Experience in reception and administration is essential, and you’ll be comfortable handling sensitive situations. You must either have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to undertake one.
