Practice Accountant | Barnsley | 9am – 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday | £25,000-£50,000 depending on experience Are you ready to join a well-established, independent Chartered Accountancy practice? With over 40 years of history, our client is looking for a motivated and skilled individual to become a key part of their team. The practice is based in a scenic village between Barnsley and Wakefield. You will be welcomed into a relaxed and flexible office environment where employees are empowered to manage their tasks independently. There are no time sheets; the focus is on results and getting things done effectively. Are you the right person for the job? Minimum full AAT qualification to fully qualified (ICAEW or ACCA) or someone well qualified by experience. Minimum of 1 years’ experience within an accountancy practice Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills are essential A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and payroll, would be beneficial but not essential What will your role look like? Liaison with clients and colleagues to review and complete annual accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships Preparation of corporation tax returns Assist with the preparation of personal tax returns, bookkeeping, VAT returns and payroll processing on an ad hoc basis
