The Borgen Project believes that leaders of the most powerful nations on earth should be doing more to address global poverty. The national campaign works to make poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.
Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? Look no further! The Borgen Project is an international organization working at the political level to improve living conditions for those impacted by war, famine, and poverty. With 20 years of experience, it has supported the passage of bills benefiting nearly 500 million people in developing countries.
Program Details
The Nonprofit Leadership Programme provides insights into leading and developing a nonprofit organization. It is a part-time, unpaid, remote program requiring 12 hours per week over 12 weeks. Participants can complete the program sooner if desired.
- Advocacy Leadership Development: Engage with government officials, represent the organization at events, and mobilize support for poverty-reduction legislation.
- Fundraising Development: Learn fundraising skills, create campaigns, and meet targets.
- Recruitment: Update job postings, inform groups about openings, and participate in interviews.
- Marketing and Promotion: Pitch story ideas, utilize social media, and develop messaging strategies.
Qualifications
No prior experience is necessary. We seek passionate individuals committed to fighting poverty, regardless of background or GPA.
Additional Information
This is an unpaid internship, but college credit may be available. Programs start monthly; you can choose your start date.
