Veterinary Receptionist - Aldridge

We are seeking anenthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Firstvets Veterinary Group.

Location:To be based at our Aldridge site, but will also be required to coverour Streetly site on occasion

Contract:Permanent

Hours:Full-time, 37.25 hours per week, but would also be happy toconsider part-time applications

Shift Pattern:Monday – Friday with a 1:2 share in the Saturday rota. The exact shift pattern will be:

Monday: 08.00 – 16.00

Tuesday: OFF

Wednesday: 11.30 – 19.30

Thursday: 11.30 – 19.30

Friday: 08.00 – 19.30

1:2 Saturdays: 08.30 – 16.30

About the role:

Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

• Answering phones and booking appointments
• Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
• Registering new clients
• Completing insurance forms
• Dispensing medications
• Keeping the reception and consultation rooms clean and tidy
• Completing admin paperwork when needed
• Taking payments
• And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we\’re looking for inour Veterinary Receptionist:

• Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
• Flexible to cover holidays and sickness when required
• Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
• An excellent communicator with strong empathy
• Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
• A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
