The Clinical Team Co-ordinator/PA may lead to provide a high-quality administration service which proactively guides patients through the clinical pathway, as required. They will report to the Administration Manager who will provide support and guidance to them in their role. They will be expected to be proactive in seeking feedback from clinical colleagues and initiate changes to team working practices to adapt to the Division’s priorities and the clinical team’s requirements with guidance from the Administration Manager. This role will provide cross cover within all tumour groups in Oncology, ensuring that the service provided meets the needs of the Department at all times., The postholder will have key working relationships with all members of the administrative and clinical teams including nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and support workers. They will provide a single point of contact (in phone and in person) in communication with patients, relatives and GPs and other external hospital staff / tertiary referrers. They will frequently liaise with a range of staff internally across the Trust and with partner and external NHS Trusts.

The postholder will be responsible for escalating and troubleshooting issues to the Administration Manager and will contribute to finding proactive solutions to routine issues., Please note that all correspondence regarding your application will be via email. Please note that if you are at present in a training position on the 2016 new junior doctor’s contract and are applying for a Trust doctor role your salary will not be pay protected.

You will be placed on the appropriate point of the Trust Doctor pay scale based on your previous experience.
