This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, qualified, and highly skilled HLTA practitioner to help create a new specialist team within Together for Children’s Specialist Education Service.

We seek an outstanding practitioner experienced in delivering person-centred learning to pupils with Autism and/or Social and Emotional Mental Health needs, including trauma. The successful candidate must have a proven track record in developing bespoke learning for pupils with complex SEND who cannot access traditional education settings. This role offers the chance to join a dedicated service with a wide range of multidisciplinary practitioners. The Bespoke Education Team will be part of the broader Specialist SEND Service, focusing on providing high-quality, tailored education packages for children and young people with complex SEND.

The core team will include 2 Specialist Teachers and 2 HLTAs. You will also have access to expertise within the wider service, including Autism Outreach, Language and Learning, Portage, Sensory Impairment, and Occupational Therapy teams. The role involves developing strong links with other services such as Virtual School, IPBS, Children with Disabilities, therapy teams, CAMHs, and CYPs.

Responsibilities include delivering bespoke education packages for children with EHCPs accessing EOTAS, working with the Statutory SEND Team, and collaborating with alternative providers to develop personalized learning programs. You may also contribute to training stakeholders based on your specialist expertise.

The Specialist Support Service is committed to safeguarding and protecting pupils and staff, adhering to Together for Children’s Safeguarding Policies.

Visa sponsorship: We welcome applications from all nationalities; however, successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK by the start of employment.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is subject to a DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
