The Opportunity:Mobile Plant Fitter Contract:Permanent Location:Southampton We are recruiting for an experiencedMobile Plant Fitterto join a leading plant and tool hire company based in Southampton. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of plant and tool hire equipment, ensuring that machinery is kept operational and reliable for customer use. Responsibilities: Perform repairs, servicing, and maintenance on tools and powered access equipment, including electrical and hydraulic systems, as well as petrol and diesel engines. Attend off-site breakdowns to minimise equipment downtime. Work as part of a team in a workshop environment to prepare and maintain machinery. Conduct PAT Testing (desirable, but not essential). Complete all relevant repair and service paperwork accurately (computer literacy required). Participate in training programs as needed for continued professional development. What Were Looking For: Previous experience working with plant tool hire equipment (experience with companies such as Sunbelt Rentals is highly desirable). A solid understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical engineering. A proactive and flexible attitude towards work, with a willingness to go above and beyond when required.
