COMM ENT 1015 - Primary Janitor - Wester Overton Primary School

Location: Wester Overton Primary School, Ashkirk Road, Strathaven, ML10 6JT

Work Pattern:

Week 1: Monday – Wednesday 7.30am – 4.30pm
Week 2: Thursday and Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm

Hourly Rate:

£13.48 – £13.78 per hour

This is a temporary post.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Prepare all documentation related to janitorial and cleaning functions within the premises.
2. Carry out cleaning duties on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls, etc.
3. Monitor cleaning standards in accordance with specifications and COSHH regulations; report issues to management.
4. Communicate effectively with the Facilities Manager, Head of Establishment/Lessee’s, and team members to meet customer needs.
5. Log, monitor, and report damage or faults related to the fabric and fixtures.
6. Liaise with external contractors and lessees, ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.
7. Monitor activities of lessees and contractors, reporting issues to line management.
8. Maintain grounds in a safe and tidy condition, free from dangerous articles, ensuring health and safety of staff and visitors.
