Position: Warehouse Operative (Order Distributor)

Location: HM Prison Gartree

Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)

Shift pattern: 6.5 hours per week on Thursday, 11:00 to 17:30

Salary: £4,910.36 per year

Important Notice:

• This role is based within a prison. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process.
• You must have a current UK address history for the past 3 years to qualify for security clearance.
• Due to the remote location, access to personal transport is necessary.

HMPPS facilitates prisoners in ordering goods using their own funds. DHL manages the picking, packing, and distribution of these orders. This role offers variety and plays a vital part in supporting prisoners\’ rehabilitation, working within a diverse team.

What does the role entail?

1. Distributing orders accurately and promptly on the prison wing.
2. Loading and unloading vehicles with incoming orders.
3. Adhering to prison rules and regulations.

What do we need from you?

1. Ability to work in a prison environment alongside inmates.
2. Capability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting.
3. Good communication skills at all levels.
4. Current UK address history for the past 3 years.
