Casual and On-Call Resthome Chefs

The Recruitment Network, New Zealand\’s leading food service staffing agency, is seeking a passionate Resthome Chef to work at various sites in and around Christchurch.

We are looking for a reliable, experienced Resthome Chef to join our team on a casual/on-call basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing nutritious meals and experience in bulk cooking within a rest home or aged care setting.

We\’re Looking For:

• Experience in bulk cooking, as you will be preparing meals for all residents
• An understanding of varying textural, dietary, and nutritional requirements
• Confidence in baking — preparing muffins, scones, slices, etc.

• Pay rate of $32 + 8% holiday pay
• Control over your roster via our mobile app
• Weekly, on-time pay
• Adherence to dietary requirements (allergies, texture modifications, purees, etc.)
• Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices as per legislation
• Being honest, reliable, and hardworking
• Ability to work well in a team and independently
• Ideally, having 5 years of experience in the field
