About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Class 1 Yard Shunter to join our client\’s operation in Bellshill, ML4. As a Yard Shunter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of trailers around the yard using a Class 1 vehicle, supporting the logistics and transportation teams to keep the supply chain running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Shunt trailers and vehicles around the yard.
• Ensure correct trailer positioning for loading and unloading
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects or safety issues
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
• Assist with other yard-based duties as required

Requirements:

• Class 1 (C+E) driving license is essential
• Previous experience operating a yard shunter or similar vehicle
• Knowledge of yard safety procedures and regulations
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

What We Offer:

• £17 per hour
