Work pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm, Friday 8:00am to 3:30pm (lunch 30 minutes)
Visits to the school are encouraged by telephone appointment
We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified, and highly motivated, individual to the post of Business Administration Apprentice within our very busy school office.
For this post, excellent inter-personal skills are essential. Candidates must also have the ability to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and support others in the team.
The key roles and responsibilities of the apprentice will be to:
- Deal with telephone queries efficiently and effectively;
- Welcome students and visitors, ensuring all visitors are signed in and monitored in accordance with school safeguarding procedures;
- Provide general administrative support including typing, updating records, photocopying, scanning, sorting, and delivering post and postage;
- Deal with internal and external post, and telephone queries from other organisations;
- Complete regular stock taking of stationery;
- Support with dinner money payments/arrears and assist with Free School Meals processes;
- Use and maintain the school MIS system
- Undertake any other administration tasks required by the Head Teacher or Administration team.
- Work to deadlines and be proactive
For this apprenticeship the following are required:
- Maths andEnglish Level 2 Functional Skills or GCSE qualifications grade A* to C (or 4 to 9).
- ECHP: For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement the apprenticeships English and Maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3 and British Sign Language qualification are an alternative to English qualifications for whom this is their primary language.
The apprentice will undertake training, and receive the qualification, for a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. In order to achieve this the candidate will be expected to complete coursework and attend lessons to progress through the apprenticeship.
