We are currently supporting a school where every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This describes their Special Education Needs (SEN) and the help they will get to meet them. An EHCP also includes any health and care provision that is needed. The Personal Care Assistants are essential in providing the right care and support which is crucial for pupils wellbeing. This is a challenging job that can lead to future roles in a variety of sectors. Some Personal Care Assistants go on to work in mainstream schools, the NHS or the care sector, many stay with the school and achieve successful promotion if they have the right qualifications. Accountabilities You will: Provide personal care; Administer medication, where appropriate; Employ effective communication using different skills including sign language/communication aids (training given); Manual handling of pupils in and out of chairs/walkers;
