Are you an experienced Engineering Manager looking for your next permanent position? Is Preston in Lancashire somewhere you are happy to commute to work? Suitable candidates will be called and given additional information on the company. This position is to manage the Engineering team, ensuring production runs to maximum efficiency, whilst working on planned preventative maintenance. Duties include; *Effectively lead the team to maximise performance allocating all maintenance tasks throughout the team. *Carry out emergency repairs as necessary, keeping ‘down time ‘to a minimum. *Perform work out of hours to avoid disruption to production when required. *Identify and solve day-to-day maintenance problems. *Ensure PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedules are performed as required. *Accurately complete all documentation in a timely fashion. *Accurately create and update relevant SOP’s as necessary. *Perform duties as required from the maintenance non-urgent job list and ensure completed in line with set targets. *Maintain the building and machinery to improve quality, and cost effectiveness. *Oversee and co-ordinate the installation of new equipment. *Order spare parts and services as required whilst keeping costs to a minimum.
