Architect Job in Central London An Architect job is now available for a fixed term period of 3 to 9 months! You will be joining an in-house team working on a unique heritage project – the conversion of a Grade II Listed property into a luxury guesthouse. This fixed-term role offers flexible working and a chance to work with a highly skilled design team dedicated to conserving the property’s historical character. Our client is managing the transformation of an exceptional listed residence in Buckinghamshire into a guesthouse, preserving the property’s scale and historic elements. The project emphasises conservation, with careful restoration of traditional materials and craftsmanship. Working in their studio in London for 2-3 days a week. Please note that the client is offering this contract on a fixed term or freelance basis (full time hours). Role & Responsibilities Contribute to the development of detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documentation throughout stage 4 and part of stage 5 Manage packages of work within the project, independently progressing and coordinating with suppliers, consultants, and contractors Conduct site visits as required, liaising with team members to ensure all conservation goals and project standards are met Work closely with a team comprising Design Directors, Senior Architect, Project Architect, Interior Designer, and an Architectural Assistant.Required Skills & Experience Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience, with solid site experience Proficient in AutoCAD and knowledgeable in UK Building Regulations Strong technical skills in producing detailed drawings and specifications for conservation projects Experience in high-end residential or hospitality projects, with a background in listed buildings or conservation work being ideal.What you get back £40,000 – £55,000 pro rata Freelance/fixed-term contract (3-9 months) with the possibility of extension Typical working hours are 9.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday Flexible working arrangement: Studio-based in London 2-3 days a week and remote on other days Unique experience working on a prestigious heritage project with a highly skilled in-house team.Apply If you meet the criteria above, send us your CV and portfolio.
