BRAMLEY HEALTH ARE LOOKING FOR AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT TO JOIN OUR GROWING TEAM AT THE LANGFORD CENTRE.

The role of an Occupational Therapy Assistant is vital to the development of our service users and their well being.

ABOUT US

Bramley Health is a specialist health and social care provider. We support men and women of working age who pose variations of mental health challenges within our homes, to maximise their independence to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

The Langford Centre is our hospital based in Bexhill on Sea, and can support up to 73 service users. Split across 6 different wards, they provide care for a combination of men and women in need.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will assist the Occupational Therapist in the provision of group and individual OT interventions. You\’ll also help our service users to develop their daily living skills and encourage and facilitate taking part in community-based activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

o To facilitate OT groups, under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist both in the hospital and the community
o Provide individual OT interventions with service users
o Involve and support the service users in the undertaking of activities of daily living appropriate to the individual and their capabilities
o Follow and understand professional risk assessments, and updating care plans on a daily basis

KEY SKILLS

o Must have experience within a mental health care setting
o A clear understanding of a MDT
o Ability to form positive therapeutic relationships with service users
