Vickerstock are working in partnership with a civil engineering and construction firm on the appointment of a SHEQ Advisor . As a SHEQ Advisor, you will manage and implement SHEQ protocols, support pre-site preparations, and conduct on-site audits. You will collaborate with site teams across Northern Ireland and to ensure projects are executed safely and in compliance with current regulations and industry standards. In your new role: Conduct site inspections and audits to address hazards and identify training needs Support site teams with the preparation & review of paperwork including Safe Systems of Work, RAMS, COSHH Assessments, Inductions and Toolbox Talks Accident/Incident reporting and investigation Assistance at the pre-start preparation stage Administration of Integrated Management Systems – ISO 9001, 14001, 27001 and 45001 Assisting with upkeep of various Health & Safety Accreditations On-site Sub-Contractor monitoring Attendance of SHEQ and site meetings What you will need to succeed: 2+ years’ experience in a similar Health and Safety role Relevant Health and Safety qualification Experience with ISO standards and auditing Good communication skills and understanding of the construction industry IT and numeracy skills (MS Office) Full clean driving license Desirable (it would be great if you have this, but don’t worry if you don’t): Experience within construction or civil engineering NEBOSH Construction certification For a more detailed brief and a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis , our Health and Safety Specialist today.
