My client is looking for a Groundworks Contracts Manager to join the team. As the Groundworks Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful execution of groundwork and civils contracts, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors and liaise with clients and senior management to ensure smooth project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee multiple groundworks and civil engineering projects across various sites.
- Plan and programme works in line with client requirements and contract deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with project managers, site managers, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Monitor project performance, productivity, and cost control.
- Conduct site visits, audits, and progress meetings with clients and internal teams.
- Review and negotiate contract terms and scope with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide input into bids, tenders, and estimates as required.
- Resolve any contractual or operational issues quickly and effectively.
- Ensure quality assurance processes are followed and handovers are properly managed.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in groundworks or civil engineering.
- Strong knowledge of groundwork techniques, regulations, and materials.
- Excellent understanding of health & safety legislation SMSTS/SSSTS.
- Solid commercial awareness and contract management experience.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
