We are an ambitious Unit, aiming to provide expert, solution-focussed, flexible support to our customers. Our staff are central to achieving this, and we are looking for like-minded people to join the team.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Trial Manager to manage and oversee the delivery of complex and multi-site clinical trials. You will take responsibility for the initiation, organisation and administration of the trials and supervising a research administrator. You will be expected to work pro-actively as part of a wider team of NHS clinical and academic staff to ensure the highest standards of research governance and to deliver the trials on time and to budget.

You will provide trial management expertise to maintain the smooth and effective running of all research studies in accordance with the study protocols, ethical and regulatory approvals, SOPs, the principles of GCP, and applicable EU Directives and UK legislation.

The ideal candidate will have proven project and line management skills, with an excellent understanding of clinical research and trial management methodology. You must be able to work independently, managing your own workload and that of trial administration staff.

You will be joining a busy, dynamic and successful team in a role that offers varied and exciting opportunities to engage with a wide range of individuals. This role will also provide you with the opportunity to make a significant contribution to research.

Informal enquiries are welcome and should be made to Carla Richardson, Head of Trial Management on [email protected]. Applications for job share will be considered.

As part of the University's ongoing commitment to professional development, this role will also be considered on a seconded basis for existing staff members. Please ensure this is discussed with your line manager prior to applying. More information regarding secondments can be found here.
