Are you a skilled Diesel Plant Mechanic/Fitter Engineer with a passion for keeping construction equipment in top shape? Do you enjoy solving complex problems and ensuring machinery is ready to go at a moment's notice? If so, we want to hear from you!

At Mr Plant Hire, we're looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic/Fitter Engineer to be part of our growing team, maintaining and servicing our diverse fleet of plant & machinery. Whether you're working on-site in Enfield or out in the field, your expertise will be crucial in minimizing downtime and ensuring our equipment stays in peak condition.

What you'll be doing:

  • Hands-on servicing & maintenance of a wide range of plant and construction equipment.
  • Diagnosing faults and performing repairs or component replacements to ensure machinery is always operational.
  • Carrying out defect inspections and providing detailed diagnostic reports.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized workshop environment.
  • Spending 70% of your time on-site in Enfield and the remaining 30% in the field (flexible working environment).
  • Supporting and mentoring Apprentices to gain their qualifications.

No two days are the same! You may be called upon to tackle new challenges as they arise.

What we're looking for:

  • You hold an NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, or equivalent, with hands-on experience as a Plant Fitter maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing plant & construction equipment.
  • You thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and take pride in delivering exceptional results.
  • You're an independent worker with strong organizational skills and a commitment to excellence.
  • Manufacturer training would be a bonus, as would any IPAF 3a/3b/1b certifications. Don't worry if you're not certified yet; we'll help you get there!
