Shuttering Carpenter Location: Oxford, Chipping Norton, 0X7 Employer: Timeless Recruitment About the Role Timeless Recruitment is seeking an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join a leading construction team in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record working on large-scale RC (Reinforced Concrete) frame projects and will bring a strong background in carpentry and formwork. You’ll be responsible for constructing and dismantling formwork for concrete structures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision throughout the process. Key Responsibilities * Shuttering & Formwork Construction: Build and dismantle shuttering and formwork for concrete structures, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications. * Technical Drawings: Interpret and work from technical drawings to ensure all measurements, layouts, and material usage are correct. * Material Handling: Select and prepare materials necessary for formwork, ensuring they are ready for concrete pouring. * Quality Assurance: Inspect finished work to ensure it meets quality standards, making any adjustments to achieve the best possible result. * Health & Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations on-site, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Key Requirements * Valid CSCS Card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme). * Proof of right to work in the UK. * Physical fitness to meet the demands of construction site duties. * Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic. * Ability to work well as part of a team. * Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter, especially on large-scale projects. * NVQ qualification in Carpentry (preferred). * 2 years’ experience in Formwork Carpentry (preferred). Key Skills and Qualifications * Advanced carpentry skills with a focus on formwork. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Flexible, adaptable, and capable of working collaboratively. * Strong commitment to quality workmanship.
