Occupational Health Advisor Location: Willand, Devon Salary: £45000 About Join one of the UK’s largest food manufacturers, with an annual turnover exceeding £3 billion and approximately 13,000 employees across 16 sites. Key Responsibilities Provide occupational health cover to agency staff They would actively support the Company health campaigns within the engagement plan improving staff turnover Home visits would support long term sick return to work reducing absence They will be able to advise the site on any changes in law / legislation etc, minimising the legal risks to the company Food handler assessments Advise on preventative healthcare The main part of the role is to undertake confined space health assessments and fork lift drivers health assessments and night shift workers assessments There will be management referrals and advise regarding capability and rehabilitation Key Skills Essential Qualification: Degree in Occupational Health Experience / Knowledge: Forklift Truck medicals DSE assessment (The assessment can be done by anyone trained in DSE assessment, but Occupational Health need to be involved if any problems are found) Night Worker Medicals New and Expectant Mothers Risk Assessment Skin surveillance Engineers’ medicals LGV medicals Vibration White finger Lead, Asbestos, Radiation Desirable Drugs and Alcohol Support Health Education
