Our established client has a superb Paediatric Occupational Therapist Permanent Vacancy in their therapy centre in London.

Location: London

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 depending on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday 10:00 - 18:00

Client Group: Children's Therapy Centre

They are looking for a variety of Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience and enjoy being part of a dynamic, experienced team, working closely with colleagues in Behaviour Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, Community Paediatricians and Educationalists. The Occupational Therapy service is responsible for providing occupational therapy assessment and intervention to children in the heart of London, working with children and young people aged between 0 to 18 years with physical, developmental, social communication and other specific difficulties; supporting them to participate in meaningful occupations.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills and relevant experience. A knowledge of Paediatric mental health conditions, eating disorders, neurology, developmental delay, oncology and complex needs would be beneficial. They will have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Being able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, as well as part of the therapy and wider MDTs; including supporting others during rotations. Being an effective deputy for the team, and able to show flexibility to working demands. To be able to show initiative and motivation to work with the rest of the team to develop the service further.

Paediatric Occupational Therapist main role and responsibilities are:

  • To autonomously take on a caseload of a minimum of 20 regular weekly clients and to have overall responsibility in achieving set goals and targets as established from assessment.
  • To provide home and school recommendations and intervention, to support children in other environments where necessary.
  • To communicate therapy plan and progress to parents and professionals.
  • To conduct online therapy for clients that cannot attend the clinic.
  • Working collaboratively with existing team - including Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, Education and Administration.
  • To be part of the strategic development of therapeutic services across group as part of the multi-disciplinary meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Occupational Therapy.
  • Certificate in Sensory Integration is desirable.
  • HCPC registered.
  • Ability to work in the UK.
