As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) to be based in any one of our 13 UK offices. You can expect to become involved in:

• Leading on the delivery of portfolios of work across both the private and public sector
• Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors
• Carrying out building analysis and provide system design calculations

Your core duties will include:

• Project and contract management
• Preparation and overseeing of designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents
• Design team management
• Promote business development
• Supervise junior staff on a day to day basis

About You

This role will suit a Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) who has the desire and capabilities to develop their career within a people and client orientated construction and property consultancy.

Our ideal Principal Building Services Engineer (Electrical) must have:

• HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification
• Knowledge and understanding of BS7671
• Knowledge of H&S/CDM requirements and current legislation e.g., UK Building Regulations
• Familiarity with electrical and lighting design software’s such as Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self – motivated

It would be nice for you to have:

• Structured wiring system and security system design experience
• Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements
• Resource planning and management experience
• Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience
• Business development experience
