Business Development Executive (Hardware & IoT Sales)

Our client, a rapidly growing company in the hardware and IoT sector, is looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Executive to join their team. This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional with a background in Hardware or IoT Sales, who is eager to make an impact and drive business growth.
This is a hybrid role, with the majority of time spent on the road or in client meetings, while the company’s office is based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be supported by a full-time Lead Generator, whose primary responsibility is to book calls and meetings—allowing the Business Development Executive to focus on closing deals and securing new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic sales approach to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Engage with key decision-makers and stakeholders to build strong, long-term relationships.
- Drive revenue growth by selling the company’s hardware and IoT solutions to new and existing clients.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from initial engagement to deal closure, with the support of a dedicated Lead Generator.
- Stay informed on industry trends and competitor activity to identify emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met effectively.
- Attend networking events, industry conferences, and trade shows to generate leads and enhance brand presence.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in Senor / Electronical Components / Hardware Sales or IoT Sales.
- A self-motivated, results-driven approach, with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline efficiently.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client meetings and business development activities.
- A valid UK driving license.
