Head of IT Asset Management at Capita

Location: Home Based UK (will require eligibility to undergo SC Clearance)

About the Role: Join us at Capita during an exciting period of change! We are dedicated to implementing a new strategy for our IT Asset Management (ITAM), and we need a dynamic leader to drive and implement best practices.

What you will be doing:

1. Drive and implement best practices for IT Asset Management (ITAM) to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
2. Manage and report on the license compliance position of Capita’s software estate, addressing compliance issues and optimizing the benefits of our investment in third-party software.
3. Manage the identification and reporting of Capita’s hardware asset estate.
4. Minimize and control overall compliance and cost risks for Capita’s technology asset estate.
5. Guide and lead on ITAM best practices across Capita.
6. Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to carry out strategies.
7. Inherit and lead a technical and support services team to enable all functions of enterprise IT Asset Management for Capita's 41,000 employees and enterprise clients.

What we are looking for:

• Proven experience in IT Asset Management, both Hardware and Software Asset Management.
• Strong working knowledge of ITIL best practices, particularly Operational Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM).
• Experience with asset discovery tools and associated data management platforms.
• Experience in Configuration Management strategy and policy.
• Good financial and legal awareness.
• Strong business planning and budget management skills.
• Strong organizational policy framework knowledge, management structures, and reporting procedures.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and inspire a diverse team.
