Estimator!!

Location: Braintree Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 (Depending on experience)Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pmFull-Time, Permanent, Office-Based

We're a well-established and innovative UK-based manufacturing company, known for delivering high-quality, bespoke solutions to clients across a wide range of industries. Due to continued growth, we're now on the lookout for a motivated Estimator to join our close-knit and supportive team.

This is your chance to play a key role in pricing exciting projects, liaising with cross-functional departments, and helping to shape the future of our commercial success.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Producing accurate, detailed project estimates
  • Working closely with the Buying team to get up-to-date pricing and lead times
  • Managing multiple tender enquiries and preparing competitive re-quotes
  • Attending pre-project and tender meetings as required
  • Identifying value engineering (VE) opportunities to support winning bids
  • Maintaining your own weekly quote log and contributing to smooth handovers
  • Collaborating across departments to deliver on client expectations
  • Staying on top of industry updates and technical developments

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in an estimating, quantity surveying or similar technical role
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Confident working with technical drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude
  • IT-literate with experience in Excel and estimating software
  • Manufacturing or construction background (preferred, but not essential)
