Intensive Care Nurse – Band 5 & 6 – Coventry

Pulse Nursing is looking for skilled and experienced band 5 and 6 registered ITU (Intensive Care Unit) nurses to join our team in Coventry. As an ITU nurse, you\’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, working alongside healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. We offer various shift patterns, including full-time hours in Coventry, with competitive pay ranging from £20.00 to £30.70 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate care
• Assist patients with their activities of daily living
• Regular assessment and monitoring of patient\’s vital signs
• Perform different types of observations and use of monitoring systems
• Use and ensure the working function of varied medical equipment such as ventilators, infusion pumps, feeding pumps, monitors
• Administer medication via different routes
• Care for patients receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Recognize patient deterioration and timely escalation of care
• Communicate effectively with members of the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives
• Work as part of a team
• Make appropriate referrals and prepare patients for discharge or transfer
• Keep accurate and timely patient records and follow local policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Valid NMC registration
• At least 6 months recent UK NHS experience within the ITU sector
• Ability to provide a clinical reference as well as covering the last three years of employment
• Able to provide an enhanced DBS or documents to apply for one
• Right to work within the UK – proof will be required
