Description of Job:
If you love Jesus, love his Word, and love working with children, this is an exciting opportunity for you! HTCD is a great family to be part of, with a close-knit Staff Team who genuinely enjoy working together in a supportive and fun environment. We currently have around 100 children (0-11s) registered with us, though on Sundays we would normally see around 40-50 across that age range. So this is a ministry which is set up, ready to run with, and well resourced.
We are offering either a full-time role or 3 days a week (Sundays non-negotiable!). We welcome applicants for either post. Do be in touch if you would like to discuss this further.
WHO YOU ARE:
A growing Christian (Genuine Occupational Requirement), with a passion to see children nurtured in faith, and transformed by Jesus through the power of his Holy Spirit. Your character and faith are central to this role. You will enjoy communicating with children and adults. You’ll be sufficiently organised to plan ahead, equip volunteers, and prepare material week by week. We also hope you’d be committed to joining our church family and worshiping with us.
YOUR ROLE:
You will co-ordinate and resource the children’s work at Holy Trinity, support the growing work at our sister church, St. Andrew’s, and have freedom to develop new ideas for reaching and teaching children and their families.
Interview Date: TBC but expected early Dec.
Holy Trinity Combe Down is a vibrant and growing Anglican church on the southern edge of Bath. With an emphasis both on deep and relevant bible teaching, and a desire to encounter God in worship and grow in the gifts of the Spirit, we are genuinely ‘Word and Spirit’ in approach. We are thrilled that this year both our Children’s and Youth Ministers have been accepted to train for ordination!
