Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Primary School, Birkenhead, Wirral (Merseyside, UK)
Hours: 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Salary: £90-110 (dependent on experience) with potential to increase to scale

Academics is working with a well-regarded primary school in the Birkenhead area to appoint an enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in children\’s learning and development.

Role Overview

As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

?? Support the classroom teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2
?? Work with individuals and small groups to promote progress and attainment
?? Provide additional support to pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
?? Promote positive behaviour and engagement in line with school ethos

This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children in a school or similar setting, is committed to inclusive practice, and enjoys contributing to a nurturing and collaborative learning environment.

? Experience supporting teaching and learning across primary age groups
? A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
? A passion for supporting children\’s academic and personal development
? Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) – safeguarding children is paramount
