The purpose of this field-based position is to provide scientific and technical support to our customers on the health, diagnostics and disease control for cattle and sheep. The successful candidate will support vets in practice by providing technical advice and product training, as well as following up on pharmacovigilance cases. The person in role is required to work closely with Account Managers (AM), using their veterinary expertise to support the delivery of sales growth and market share gains. This role will cover Wales and South West England, with regular travel across this region. It would suit someone based near Bristol.
Core Responsibilities
- Planning
- Align activities to the AMs account plans, to relevant marketing programmes and to management direction
- Plan and implement the Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and university management activities
- Manage time effectively to allow for Business Unit support and Customer support
- Relationships
- Work with the AM to deliver bespoke customer solutions utilising all available resources including value add services and Product Managers
- Develop mutually beneficial long term partnerships with our customers based on veterinary expertise, respect & reputation
- Offer support, training and coaching to AMs and colleagues in the business unit that shares your expertise and adds value to our customers
- Customer activities
- Grow the customer's product usage using technical and business knowledge. Deliver programmes that improve animal health and productivity
- Use practice data to identify opportunities and tailor our programmes to customer needs
- Provide the agreed standard of technical support to our customers, respond to customer queries and complaints quickly and effectively
- Undertake diagnostic support as required
- Support specific customers in association with AMs to provide a constant flow of information to the customer.
- Support the National Veterinary Manager/s when required
- Veterinary knowledge and expertise
- Use veterinary expertise to better inform customers of a product's technical workings, uses and effects
- Share knowledge with AM and throughout wider business
- Identify opportunities to use expertise to affect a commercial gain
- Maintain high level of expertise with the evolving portfolio of products, services, pricing and competition
- Compliance
- Maintain high standards of business conduct and compliance, adhering particularly to Pharmacovigilance Policy, Global Vet Policy, Zoetis values, travel & expenses policy and local codes of practise
- Deliver technical training and coaching to AMs that is consistent and compliant with Zoetis practise. Ensure adequate understanding and knowledge transfer on products and diseases
- Act in co-operation with AMs to keep accurate records of customer activity

Training and Qualifications
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and RCVS Registered
- Certificate of specialization in a relevant disease management or animal health area is beneficial
Experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in Farm Veterinary Practice in the UK
Travel Requirement
- High frequency of travel within designated region. Drivers License required
- Occasional foreign travel
