Our client, a growing energy consultancy, is looking for a Business Development Manager to help drive growth across their corporate division focusing on selling fixed energy contracts. As the Business Development Manager, you will lead on winning and developing new corporate clients while managing an existing portfolio. You'll be supported by an internal team for onboarding, reporting, and admin - so you can focus on building relationships and driving revenue.

Key responsibilities for the Business Development Manager:- Drive new business through outreach, networking, and market insight
- Manage and grow key client accounts, focusing on retention and upselling
- Lead strategic energy and utility discussions with clients
- Conduct Meter Operator and kVA reviews for new clients
- Oversee Data Collector setup and integration with the energy platform
- Work with admin support to ensure smooth onboarding, reporting, and query resolution
- Maintain accurate CRM records and ensure regular client reporting
- Uphold compliance with all internal and client standards
- Proven experience in energy sales, ideally in a corporate client-facing role
- Confident in developing new business and managing a sales pipeline
- Experience managing fixed energy contracts with customer portfolios (1GW+)
- Strong communicator with a professional phone manner
- Target-driven, organised, and able to prioritise effectively
- Thrives in fast-paced, self-managed environments
- Commercially aware and focused on long-term client relationships
- Positive, collaborative, and motivated to succeed
- Skilled in MS Office and general IT
- Experienced in supplier management and client retention
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Full clean drivers license
