Teaching Assistant

Accelerate Teaching is excited to present a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and supportive secondary school in Leeds. This role is ideal for a dedicated individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and is looking to further their career in education.

Position Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the classroom, working closely with teachers to provide both academic and pastoral support to students. You will be an integral part of the learning process, helping to create a positive and inclusive environment where every student can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help.
• Help to create and maintain an inclusive classroom environment.
• Support the assessment and monitoring of student progress.
• Assist with classroom management and organisation, ensuring a safe and productive learning space.
• Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school is required.
• A passion for education and a commitment to supporting young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
