Design Engineer Value Engineering in Hinckley

Were seeking a skilled Design Engineer Value Engineering to join our engineering team in Leicester. This role focuses on delivering cost-effective design improvements across a wide range of components and systems through techniques such as design optimisation, supplier collaboration, and process refinement. You\’ll work cross-functionally with teams across the business to identify value opportunities, develop technical solutions, and support supplier engagement, including potential international travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver robust engineering solutions that improve cost, quality, and performance across current production and development components.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement value engineering initiatives.

• Engage with suppliers to define and develop component specifications.

• Manage project plans and deliverables to meet defined time, cost, and quality targets.

• Support continuous improvement by following and challenging established processes.

Requirements:

• MEng or BEng in an engineering-related field.

• Experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.

• Prior exposure to value engineering or cost-reduction projects.

• Strong technical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and fluent in English.
