12 Month Rolling Contract
Iām working with a global financial institution that is seeking a C# / .NET Developer to join their London team on a 12 Month Rolling Contract. You will primarily support Front Office (trading, sales and structuring) teams, but also contribute to tools for control and support functions (Middle Office, Risk, Back Office, Trade Support).
Responsibilities:
- User needs collection and anticipation: Gather and understand requirements from front office and other business stakeholders.
- Analysis of needs and definition of specifications: Translate business requirements into clear and concise specifications.
- Multiple solutions proposal: Provide studies comparing different options and solutions to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Hands-on development: Design and implement resilient, efficient, and scalable information systems.
- Collaboration: Work in close cooperation with other relevant IT, business, and operational teams in London and worldwide.
Experience:
- Experience within Financial Markets, with a strong interest in the global markets business.
- Commodities experience preferred (e.g., oil, natural gas, power), with a good understanding of derivatives (listed and OTC).
- Strong understanding of linear and non-linear risk, including options and Greeks.
- Proficiency in .NET platform, C# language, and WPF.
- Familiarity with Angular or AngularJS.
- Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Ability to provide hands-on support to onboard new products.
- Previous experience with integrating pricing libraries and tools for traders.
- Good understanding of implied volatility curves and smiles.
- Fast learner with a proactive approach and strong communication skills (business and technical).
- Ability to work in a demanding environment with strong business exposure.
